At CABI, I contributed to the design and development of a Moodle-based course on evidence synthesis. The course was intended as an accessible introduction to a complex subject area. Working collaboratively with a wide range of subject matter experts, the project went through multiple iterations during the scripting and development phases. Tight funding-driven deadlines added further complexity to the process. My role evolved over the course of the project, ultimately encompassing course build and implementation in Moodle, as well as evaluating opportunities for future development and expansion of the course. You can view the course on the CABI Academy Moodle site.
For CABI, I designed and developed a Moodle-based course on pest diagnosis to support farmers in identifying pests affecting their crops. Collaborating with subject matter experts from around the world, I redeveloped the course to meet accessibility standards and better serve a low-technology audience. The project began with a comprehensive needs analysis that integrated strengths of the existing course, user feedback, and organisational requirements. This informed a course structure that was mobile-friendly, accessible, and aligned with budget constraints. I then led the scripting process with SMEs before building and implementing the course in Moodle, applying HTML and CSS to enhance functionality and user experience. You can view the course on the CABI Academy Moodle site when it is released end of January.

Sainsbury's needed training for their bakery staff on their apprenticeship that simulated a customer purchasing scenario where the bakery apprentice would have to recommend the right product and give the correct allergy advice.
